Easter 6 - I am the way

We're after Easter, and getting closer to the ascension. So we start to look back at some of Jesus' teachings before he left his disciples, and we start to see some of the promises he makes to us. In today's Gospel (John 14:1-14) we are at the last supper and hear of the promise of the New Covenant. What does it mean to you, to be part of God's new agreement with us?
Peace, Dion.

Worship Preparation

We aren’t leaving our space for St Mary by the Sea this week, so how about preparing a space for worship? Create a special space for worship. What about when you turn the computer or TV on for YouTube, that you light a candle, get your bible, notebook, Pen and drink. Make this your worship space for the next 30 minutes.
To prepare for worship this week, we suggest that with your candle (and any other things you have kept) you have paper and pen or colouring things as we will be using these for our reflection.

Online Worship survey

Would you like to win a Scout Cafe Voucher? Tell us how your online worship experience been. We have a short, anonymous multi-choice survey. If there is more than one person in your household, please ask each person to fill it in. Children will need help and we would love to hear their voice too. Click the link below:

Connecting on Zoom

Some people have struggled to get into our group chats. To ease that, we will be using the same link for all of our public gatherings. The meeting ID is: 919 265 616 It is the same one we have used for the after worship gathering. This link will stay the same from now on for all our gatherings, we will not use different links.
To dial in for Audio only, or if your computer doesn’t have a microphone, phone 09 884 6780, enter the meeting ID 919265616 when prompted.

Online Worship Stream

We are live online with YouTube, Sunday 10:02am. If you join at 10:05, you will miss the first 3 minutes, just like if you turn up to church late. Join at 10:00am and you’ll have a two minute count down to the 10:02am start. If you miss out on the start, come back after 10:40 and you’ll be able to see the service from the beginning. The link to our YouTube Chanel is the same each week. Click the button below for the YouTube channel.

After Service Chit-Chat

There will be a Zoom ChitChat at about 10:35, at the end of our service here: The meeting ID is: 919-265-616 Have you missed catching up with someone? Let Dion know (message him on Zoom, or email him) and he can put you and your friend in a breakout room together.

Bible Studies

Wednesday @10am - Meeting ID: 919-265-616

We are currently at Level 3

We will continue to offer worship online at level 3. All of our buildings and the community shop remain closed at level 3. Clergy can officiate at a funeral. But it would be very small gathering of no more than 10 people in total, with no contact. If asked to officiate at a funeral in level 3, we can also offer the option of a memorial service at a later stage for a larger gathering when that is safe and possible.

Level 2

In Covid Level 2, we are planning to offer both Online and In-Person worship in parallel, in this time of transition. Vestry are well under way in their planning for what shape In-person worship will take. We hope to be able to give you a start date, when the Government announce when we will proceed to Level 2. For now Be kind, Stay home, Wash your hands.

Vestry will meet on Zoom, on Monday 11th May in the evening after the Government announcement about when we will enter level 2. We will start to make decisions about what shape our Community Shop and Mainly Music will take in Level 2.
