Hi [subscriber:firstname],
For John Jesus is the Word, present at the beginning of Creation, singing Creation into existence. On Sunday we hear that Jesus is such an integral part of Creation, that he is the vine. He is the one that gives us life. Jesus then goes on to remind us, that we will be pruned, we will be cleaned like a vine branch is. A vine branch is pruned back so that the growth goes in the direction that the gardener wants it to go. And the gardener is God the Father, who directs our growth through trimming us so we grow in God's direction.

If you can't make in-person worship, our Podcast goes live Sunday at 10am. We look forward to joining in worship with you.

The conference, (9th-11th April) was held in Christchurch and was attended by members of the AAW from all around New Zealand. Margaret reports that there was great fellowship, singing and lots of laughter to be had. The conference covered many workshops including ones on missions, grief and flax flowers. A service was held in the Transitional Cathedral. It was a successful conference where great fellowship and memories were shared and made. "Unbreakable" - A new and original musical.

" Unbreakable" tells the true story from 203AD of indomitable Christian courage in the face of Roman tyranny. Ancient Rome will challenge you to consider the value of your faith and a Christian approach to life and death. With 22 songs from a wide range of genres this up-lifting musical will show the journey from new faith to arrest, oppression, family conflict, dramatic spiritual dreams, prison baptisms, an agape meal, a birth and ultimate deaths for Christ in a Roman arena at Carthage.

Written by the Rev Dr Don Battley from the accepted prison diary of Perpetua in March 203AD , with original music by a number of local Christians, this is a new approach to presenting Christian faith in the public world.
