Today we give thanks that we are able to meet for on-site for worship at 8am and 10am. We will continue to have our online service at 10am in parallel for the forseeable future.
Please do not attend in-person worship if you are supposed to be isolating following a positive test result for yourself or a household contact, or if anyone in your home is experiencing any covid symptoms, or you are awaiting a covid test result; please instead join our online service.
With the changes the government have made to the law around the Covid protection framework, from Monday 4th April it is nolonger necessary for St Mary by the Sea to require a My Vaccine Pass for any purpose onsite, to either visit or volunteer, this includes St Mary by the Sea, the Hall, and the Community Shop.
We will still have up one small QR code for you to scan in if you wish. And we will continue to operate safely in RED onsite, this means:
-
-
Doors open for ventilation – so wear a jumper or bring a jacket
-
staying socially distanced, with the peace in sign language and a memorial meal
-
And Morning tea served seated at the tables
We would love to see you onsite when you feel safe to visit; and for those that continue to journey with us online, we appreciate the opportunity to worship with you.
Today, Sun 3 April at 11am we will hold our hybrid SGM to receive our financial report, both online and onsite at the same time. Please join us online or onsite at 11am.
This Sunday's theme is: Full to the Brim: “Brazen Acts of Beauty”.

AGENDA: Receive, consider and adopt the accounts.
MOVE that this Special General Meeting of parishioners adopts the unaudited annual financial accounts for Parish of St Mary by the Sea Torbay for the year ending 31 December 2021, as prepared by Trust Management and based on information supplied by this ministry unit; and notes these financial accounts will be audited as part of the diocesan consolidated accounts audit.
QUESTIONS: It can be hard to find answers to some questions from the floor, so please read the accounts, and if you have any questions, let the office know by Wednesday 30th March so we can give you a researched and considered answer. Feel free to ask questions from the floor too, and we will do our best.

A letter from Andrew Robinson @ Tear Fund.
Wow! The Tearfund team and I are completely blown away by the incredible goodwill of people like you who have generously given to help the victims of the invasion of Ukraine. To say thanks, I made this quick video that tells you the three key ways you are making a huge difference for families devastated by the horrors of this conflict.
No time for a video? No worries. In summary, your money is providing:
- Enough medical supplies to treat over 11,000 people.
- Emergency shelter for around 12,000 people displaced inside Ukraine.
- Support for refugees pouring into neighbouring countries and protecting them from exploitation.
Thank you so much for standing with the people of Ukraine. Your tax receipt will be emailed in April, so you can claim back a third of your donations.

If you’d like to give an additional donation to Ukraine, we can make sure it is included in this year’s tax receipt if we receive it before March 31, 2022.
On behalf of the people of Ukraine, thanks for being there for them in their time of suffering

Collect
God, all love comes from you; Mary’s perfume on Christ’s feet, and his blood spent upon the cross, signal your extravagance. Warm our hearts with your love, deliver us from all meanness of spirit, and make us generous in all we are, Through Jesus Christ our Liberator, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

Community Shop
Now open Tuesday - Saturday inclusive 10am to 4pm.
Thank you to everyone who shops at the Community store, without you all this hard work would be to no avail. Your purchases not only help support St Marys Church but also go to providing financial support via food vouchers to local schools and to those in need in the local community. In February we took just over $8,700. Expenses have to be taken from this.
